Orthodontist in Bend

Meet Dr. Blair Struble

I love being an orthodontist! I feel so fortunate to have joined the most amazing profession in the world. I have found that my ability to help people in such a meaningful way is so rewarding. It’s very satisfying to have a people-focused job that also has hands-on technical aspects. I chose orthodontics because it combines the perfect mix of science, art, and genuine personal interaction. I love working with my hands to create beautiful smiles and find the mechanics of orthodontics fascinating.

I am so lucky to have an incredible team. They strive every day to provide the best care for all of our patients. Our team is well-trained, dedicated, and driven to provide exceptional care to each and every person who enters our orthodontic office.

Education and Continuing Education

I grew up right here in Bend, and I am proud of my education in dental and orthodontic medicine at some of the finest institutions in the Pacific Northwest. I did my undergraduate work at Willamette University in Salem, then attended Oregon Health & Science University in Portland to earn my Doctorate of Dental Medicine. After that, I spent time in Seattle pursuing my Master of Science in dentistry and certification in orthodontics at the University of Washington.

Orthodontics is one of the fastest-evolving and exciting areas of dentistry. Treatments continue to improve and evolve year after year, and I am excited to deliver these improvements and innovations to my patients. I regularly participate in continuing education programs through my many professional affiliations. I belong to the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Oregon Dental Association, the Central Oregon Dental Society, and the American Board of Orthodontics, of which I am a board-certified Diplomate. I served as the chair of the Council on New and Younger Members (CONYM) for the American Association of Orthodontists.

I often use my experience in the field to lecture to local high school, hygiene, and dental assisting students about orthodontic techniques and technologies. I also spend much of my time visiting the local public schools to speak to elementary school children about the importance of great oral hygiene practices.

Outside the Orthodontic Office

I have a wonderfully supportive and incredibly patient husband named Trebor. He is a physician assistant at one of our local medical clinics. We have two beautiful little girls named Taylor and Tennyson who are the joy of our lives! We also have a very sweet Labradoodle named Toffee.

Outside of the orthodontic office, I have a real passion for volleyball, tennis, and all things outdoors! I have coached a championship-winning local high school volleyball team. I have served as a board member of the KIDS Center for child abuse prevention and intervention, and currently sit on their advisory council. I love my community and I strive to make it better in everything I do.
